Susan Marsh is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Susan is passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and reconnect with their authentic selves.
Susan’s approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in the belief that clients are the experts of their own experiences. She works alongside clients to explore the connection between past experiences, present patterns, and future possibilities while supporting them in developing greater self-compassion, emotional flexibility, and alignment with their values.
Susan primarily integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, DBT skills, attachment-informed theory, psychoeducation, and person-centered approaches. Through these frameworks, Susan supports clients in increasing psychological flexibility, processing painful experiences, understanding protective parts of themselves, strengthening relationships, and building skills to navigate life with greater authenticity and confidence.
Inspired by the work of Gabor Maté, Susan believes healing involves creating space to understand the experiences and adaptations that have shaped us while reconnecting with our authentic selves. Maté shares, “The greatest source of suffering is the false self, the self we create to please others and to be accepted.” Susan’s work supports clients in exploring the protective parts of themselves, understanding the origins of their patterns, and building the courage to move toward greater authenticity, self-trust, and alignment with their values.
