Group Description

This is a psychoeducational group designed to help individuals learn the tools needed to navigate both healthy and challenging relationships. Whether the relationship is with a parent, child, friend, dating partner, or spouse, all types of relational issues are welcome. Relationships are hard and we rarely have the tools necessary to navigate them successfully.

This group will focus on building the toolbox needed to face all of life’s relational challenges.

There are three components to each group: education on a specific skill, activity time to practice this skill, and discussion. There will be limited time for processing, and the main focus of this group is skill-building. Adults only.

Key Objectives:

- Define and understand attachment including origins of attachment and your attachment style

- Understand your needs for relational safety and how to build trust

- Develop an understanding of your relationship to emotions and management of emotions

- Learn the steps for healthy communication and boundary setting

- Increase awareness and strategies for the tools to engage in healthy relationships with others
