Modalities:

Lauren practices therapy from a trauma-informed perspective which seeks a thorough understanding of the physical body, the function of emotions, and the personal values/goals which our thoughts and behaviors attempt to protect.

Lauren draws from many therapeutic modalities and techniques including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy,  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and yoga/mindfulness-based approaches.

Lauren views therapy as a collaborative process of establishing safety within the therapeutic relationship to unpack the ways the body and mind have learned to perceive and respond to the world around us. She is dedicated to helping clients learn to know and trust themselves more deeply and to improve self-regulation, emotional intelligence, and effective boundaries and communication skills.
