Harrison Crawford is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Master’s in Sport-ExercisePsychology from Argosy University in Phoenix. Harrison is also a LicensedIndependent Addiction Counselor and has worked with many individuals suffering from addictive disorders. Harrison practices therapy from a trauma-informed perspective which emphasizes the importance of an environment of safety in the counseling setting along with helping clients build a toolbox to manage difficult emotions and regulate their bodies and minds.

Harrison is the co-author of the Amazing Dads! curriculum, the first trauma-informed and gender-responsive curriculum designed specifically for the needs of fathers. Harrison’s goal with this curriculum is to help fathers identify and move toward the vision of the fathers they want to be. One of Harrison’s passions is working to improve how services are delivered to men (and fathers), using a gender-responsive approach. The ways we have been socialized, specifically related to gender, have significant impacts on us and unpacking those influences can help us achieve fully authentic selves.

Harrison draws from many therapeutic modalities and techniques including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). He views therapy as a collaborative process where each client is the expert on her/his own life, while Harrison is there to guide, offer feedback, and challenge as needed to help clients achieve the growth, satisfaction, and peace they are seeking.

When he is not working, Harrison enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and playing lacrosse, soccer, and golf. He enjoys reading fiction and nonfiction along with watching his favorite soccer team,Liverpool FC.
